Daily News Update
Everyone will be given the opportunity to present the news to the class during each quarter. The presentation will be done with Microsoft Office PowerPoint and a LCD projector.
Each presentation will contain the following:
a. 1 international story
b. 1 Iraq war story
c. 1 national story
d. 1 state/local story
e. 1 political cartoon
f. A works cited list (MLA) for all stories is to be turned into Mr. Janisch
All stories will consist of:
a. brief summary (who, what, where, when, and why)
b. a statement of significance (This is important because…..)
c. a visual (picture or graph)
You will be graded on the importance of the stories (they should all be political and social in nature); your ability to give a spoken presentation (DO NOT JUST READ THE INFORMATION OFF OF EACH PAGE), your work-cited list, and the appearance of each slide. This assignment is worth 50 homework/project points. Information on each presentation may be on each weekly quiz.
